Nina: Hon är ganska bortskämd, hon flyttar runt mycket. Ninas Pappa säger ingenting till Nina att hon röker för det är hans Prinsessa, Ninas Mamma röker också och Ninas Mamma säger till Nina att sluta att röka för att det inte är bra men Nina bryr sig inte och fortsätter att röka. I Ninas förra skola så blev hon mobbad och många spred massor med rykten om henne.

Lenita

Lenita är nog en sådan sådan person som ska bestämma hela tiden, hon ska se bäst ut och det är bara hon ska stå i centrum. Hon är nog ingen bra vän och hennes "Vänner" Catta och Sanna är nog mer som ett följe som visar att Lenita är bäst. Det känns även som att Lenita är en bortskämd för att när man hör beskrivningen om hennes kläder så är det ju bara märkeskläder. Märkeskläder kan ju vara jättedyra. Lenita bor ju även i ett jättefint hus.

Teo

Teo värkar inte bry sig om skolan för att han har haft 5 stycken ogiltig frånvaro på en månar och 5 stycken sen ankomst på en vecka. Han värkar vara den tuffa killen i skolan som inte bryr sig om någonting och ska vara den coola. Han är kanske rädd att om han framstår som svag så kommer han bli retad. Teo har två små systrar som rotar i hans CD-samling vilket gör Teo jätte irriterad.

Nina

Nina är typ 14-15 år. Hon går i årskurs 8. Ninas familj har det väldigt svårt med ekonomin. Ninas familj flyttar väldigt mycket. Pågrund av att hennes pappa får nya jobb vid nya ställen. Och då behöver dom flytta hella tiden. Nina är en person som alltid försöker vara med sitt tjejjäng. Och hon försöker att passa sig in där. Nina ser ut som om hon har svart hår och lagommt långt. Han jobbar med byggarbete. Hennes mamma röker och det gör hon med. Men Ninas pappa gör det inte. Och Ninas pappa gillar inte att Ninas mamma röker. För han säger att det är dåligt för hälsan.

Chapter 9 The Truth

Chapter 9: The Truth

In this chapter we are going to practice tying up loose ends.

● The main character is going to find out how it all  fits together. Describe how he/she finds it out.

● You have to decide what is going to happen with the monster and the classmate.

● Important questions to think about to make sure you tie all loose ends together:

○Who had written the poster?

○Who had turned it around and re-written it?

○Who had written the poem and why?

○Why had someone made notes in the book (if you wrote that)?

○How did the animal become a monster?

○Why was the monster in the basement?

● Try to make you explanations a bit unexpected. It still has to connect with the things you have written earlier. The reader should think: Aha, I should have understood that.

● Read all your chapters and feel free to add or change to make the explanations in the end both tricky and yet reasonable.

Chapter 8

Chapter 8: The Revenge

In this chapter we are going to practice describing an event.

● The main character is going to use the bait and manage to get the monster to scare the stupid classmate.  

● The classmate is going to be scared and regretful.

● Questions to help you: Where does the main character take the monster to scare the classmate?

Are there other people there? If so, how do they react? Are any of the nice people you described earlier there (for instance the nice adult from chapter 2, the harsh adult from chapter 1, someone from the library, a friend)?

The Monster chapter 7

Chapter 7: The Mixture

We are going to practice writing a recipe in this chapter.

● The main character is going to be back in the same place as in chapter 1.

● The mean pupil is going to be or has been extra mean/stupid. 

● The main character is going to mix a bait.

● She/he will use the bait to  attract the monster and to frighten the mean classmate (in the next chapter).

● When the main character is thinking about what to use in the mixture he/she is going to use the facts from the text she/he read.

● Use one quote from the text.

● Write down the recipe.

● Questions to help you: What is the mean classmate doing? Which ingredients are suitable for attracting the monster? Are there any ingredients missing? Could the nice adult from chapter 2 help?

The Monster chapter 6

Chapter 6: The Book

In this chapter we are going to practice writing a text based on facts.

● The main character is going to read a book about animals to try to find out more facts about the monster in the basement.

● The main character is going to find a text about the animal (about the actual animal not the monster animal).

● Write the text that the main character is reading. Get your facts from a book or from the internet.

● Questions to help you: Is there anything else mysterious happening in the library? Are there any other persons there? What is the atmosphere like in the library? Does is seem as if someone else has been reading the book? Maybe someone has  written notes in the book?
